Work by various scientific teams specializing in Virology around the World (American Society for Microbiology – Journal of Virology) confirms that the Coronavirus is dependent on pH (pH is used to measure the activity of a solution).

Coronaviruses infect host cells by fusion with low pH cell membranes. They are therefore classified as « pH dependent virus ». Drugs that increase intracellular pH (cell alkalinity) have been shown to decrease the infectivity of pH-dependent viruses.
